Thursday’s monthly Scubadillo Dive Club meeting
Join us for a special program at our monthly Scubadillo meeting, Thursday, April 6, at On the Border in Addison.
Kari-Ann Melendez of the Adapt-Able Foundation will be our featured speaker.
Kari-Ann and Dale Davis, co-founders and directors of the foundation, created this organization as a veteran-operated non-profit dedicated to bringing adaptive (those with physical, emotional or developmental disabilities) and able-bodied people together so everybody enjoys scuba diving.
She’ll share inspiring success stories of individuals with various disabilities who have had their lives radically changed through scuba diving. Kari-Ann will also provide an update on the foundation’s activities, including upcoming events, and how able-bodied individuals can become involved in this life-changing organization.
Meeting details
Our meeting begins at 7 p.m. If your schedule permits, please come for the social/dinner hour around 6 p.m.
Bring some cash for the raffle, which offers fun, mostly useful items!
