| Please join us for our Scubadillo meeting, Thursday, Sept. 4 at Bobbie’s Social House, off the Dallas North Tollway and Frankford in Dallas. About our presentation From its flat forests, to its flat beaches, Florida is known for its uniform topography. Below the surface though, Florida transforms into a dynamic wonderland of underground caves, spring systems, underground rivers, and displays a history of times long since past. Lana Kolonay, past Diving Rebels President and current avid Florida cave diver, will give a general overview of the geology, hydrology, and ecology of Florida’s freshwater systems that make it so unique from any other state in the U.S. Don’t miss it! Meeting details Our meeting begins at 7 p.m. If your schedule permits, please come for the social/dinner hour around 6 p.m. Take advantage of Bobbie’s happy hour on drinks, which extends to 7 p.m. Bring some cash for the raffle, which offers fun, mostly useful items! | ||
