Local lake dive @ Tenkiller Lake, OK

Join us at the Tenkiller Lake in Oklahoma weekend of July 27-28

Diving:

Tenkiller State Park:

• Dive park
• Fisherman’s point
• Bluff View

Normal July Water temps:  70/80

Depending on when we get up there, we can do an afternoon/evening dive Friday. Saturday we’ll do morning and afternoon dives and if time permits, we can do a Sunday morning dive.

I would recommend bringing at least two tanks. You can rent them at any DFW dive shop for the weekend or up by the lake. Below are the two dive shops close by.

Nautical Adventures also have a fill station at the dive park  – The Dive Hut that’s open Fri-Sun (9-7pm Fri/Sat and Sun 9-5pm)

Tank Refills/Gear rental:

• Nautical Adventures Scuba (918-457-3483) (Fri/Sat: 9-5, Sun: 9-2)

Accommodations:

John and I booked a camp site at Tenkiller State Park for Fri-Sun but there are cabins there and a few hotels in the area.

Here’s the info for possible accommodations:

Tenkiller State Park:

• RV/Tent: Flying Squirrel site ($35/night – Senior (62+) or Military rates available)
• Cabins (sleep 4) $105-$125/night

Hotels:

• Suite 16 Motel – 7 miles away (south of lake), ~$60/night.
• Tenkiller Lodge – 20 miles away (North of lake), ~$90/night
• Fin and Feather Resort & Soda Steve’s – 5 miles away, ~$110/night

Food:

No food provided by the club so bring your own – if there’s interest, we can go to one of the local restaurants Friday and/or Saturday evening.

• Big Daddy’s Right On The Dam Highway
• The Wolf At Tenkiller
