Our formal meeting starts at 7:15 p.m., when President Bill Davidson and other board members share the latest on what’s happened in the Dillo world this past month – AND what’s scheduled for the next few months. After that, Jacques Star – our featured speaker – will present. (Read more, below.) Feel free to come EARLY for the networking social hour 6 – 6:30 p.m. Eat, drink and be merry. We’ll finish off the evening around 8:30 p.m. with a raffle. Be sure to bring a few extra dollars (as your budget allows) to partake. We always have a number of fun raffle prizes to give away. Note: if you contribute something to the raffle, you’ll get free tickets. We had 44 members (full house) at the last meeting, so try to arrive early to find your favorite table.
********************************** ABOUT JACQUES Jacques Star of Star Video Productions, will share examples of his work from various parts of the underwater world. He’ll also tell us how he was drawn to and got involved in this fascinating line of work. Jacques is a freelance cameraman with 15 years of underwater videography experience. He graduated from UT-Arlington in 2004 with degrees in broadcasting and business, and now he runs his own production company, Star Film and Video Productions, providing camera crews and services for broadcast, cable and the web. He currently lives in Grand Prairie. A Master scuba diver, Jacques specializes in underwater videography for National Geographic. (cool!) In addition to NatGeo, you can see his work on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, Discovery, TLC and HGTV. Jacques has won collegiate journalism awards and worked on an Emmy award winning episode of Extreme Makeover – Home Edition for HGTV. His work has taken him to interesting places all over the world. He’s a respected member of the Dallas Producers Association, the National Press Photographers Association and the Historical Diving Society. Want to know more?
