April 7, 2016 @ 6:30 pm

We will be having a great speaker this meeting. We are starting to fill up the room so get there early.

The”Social Hour” begins at 6:30 PM and the meeting begins at 7:30 PM.

Our speaker Jason Wright is a volunteer with Project Baseline, a grassroots, environmental conservation initiative. The organization exists to support people who are invested in water quality and availability by providing a platform that gives voice to otherwise under or undocumented aquatic areas. Project Baseline works by organizing and mobilizing a global network of highly skilled and passionate divers to create a lasting visual legacy of underwater environmental conditions one photo and one video at a time. Their images, descriptions, and data are moved into an online database designed to render their observations accessible to the world and create a baseline for environmental quality. When stitched together, those images create a time lapse revealing how that quality is changing. Jason will discuss his efforts and strategy to document water quality conditions in Lake Murray and how local divers can become involved in this. For more information see http://www.projectbaseline.org.

We will also be discussing our upcoming annual Underwater Easter Egg Hunt event at Tyler State Park and other events coming up.
