Discover Scuba Class
March 15, 2015 @ 1:00 pm
Many of you have said you wanted a friend or family member to try out scuba diving to see if they like it and hopefully become your future scuba buddy. Heres your chance!
The Scubadillo Dive Club will host a pair of Discover Scuba sessions in March where you get to try out breathing underwater in scuba gear and in a nice heated pool. We will host two Sunday afternoon sessions, March 15 and March 29, at the indoor pool of International Scuba in Carrollton, just south of the Trinity Mills and Marsh Lane intersection.
We will provide the scuba gear and you bring a bathing suit and towel. If you have your own personal mask and fins, that would be great, but we can set you up with those if you dont. The Discover Scuba is open to participants ages 10 and above. Because you will be breathing off of compressed air, all those signing up for the sessions will be sent by email a PADI medical questionnaire and liability release that must be filled out prior to the session and have a doctors release if there is a yes to any of the medical questions. This is for your safety.
We have negotiated a special rate of just $20 per participant for these half-hour scuba sessions. Depending upon the number of participants, we will conduct the Discover Scuba sessions in groups of just six participants starting at 1 p.m. with additional groups starting afterward. The first to schedule for that days session will be placed in the first group and additional groups will be assigned a time to arrive.
To schedule a Discover Scuba session, please contact Scubadillo President and PADI IDC Staff Instructor David Prichard at [masked]. Please indicate the name and age of the participant, plus which date you would like to conduct the session (March 15 or March 29). Groups of six will be scheduled according to when the emails are received. Participants will then be sent a time to arrive and the medical questionnaire by email. If you have any questions about the sessions, please contact David at [masked]
